Easter Gift Ideas to Celebrate the Season

These DIY printable seed packets make the perfect Easter gift ideas for your Sunday school class, all the children at your Easter Sunday gathering, or even as a cute package to add to your child’s garden-themed Easter basket. I was inspired to create these by my friend Alyssa’s Printable Valentine Seed Packets and a Christmas stocking stuffer I gave the kids this year from the Target Dollar Spot to grow your own Christmas tree.

And since Easter is the ultimate celebration of Spring, life, and growth, I can’t think of a perfect gift to symbolize the season!

Making Your DIY Easter Seed Packets & Gift Bags

To make your Easter seed packets, simply download and print your choice of the Biblical seed packets (6 unique envelopes) or the Secular seed packets (8 unique envelopes). Follow the detailed directions included in your download, add seeds and seal.

For an even better Easter gift idea, package it in a complete kit to plant the seeds too! You can find all the supplies at your local Dollar Store, making it a super affordable gift and easy to assemble for groups.

Supplies

Seed Packet Printables (Biblical or Secular versions)
Lightweight cardstock
Flower seeds
Small pots
Potting soil
Clear plastic loot bags, large
Raffia
Paper shred (optional)

I found the brightly colored, small plastic pots pictured above at Hobby Lobby for about $1.50/each, but I also found small and medium Terracotta ones packaged in sets of 3 or 2 at the Dollar Store. The Dollar Store also had flower seeds 4 for a $1, and everything else on the supply list. You only need a few seeds per envelope too, so you can make each package for just $1-2/each.

DIY Seed Packets with Easter or Spring Message

Download your choice of our Biblical or Secular printable seed packets. The Biblical assortment features 6 unique printables, including 4 Bible passages and 2 quotes, celebrating Easter and the miracle of gardens and seeds. The Secular assortment celebrates the Spring season, featuring 8 unique floral designs with quotes about Spring, gardens, flowers and seeds.

Print them at home – I recommend using a lightweight cardstock or high quality printer paper. I chose a natural colored cardstock that looked great with the vibrant floral images and with the raffia on the finished Easter gift packages. Each download also includes detailed directions and a diagram for quick and easy assembly of your seed envelopes (or watch the short video below for the complete how-to).

Cut them out. I used a paper cutter to insure straight edges. Then, fold along the dotted lines, add flower seeds and seal packet edges with a glue stick. Hand them out as is, or turn them into a complete Easter gift growing kit!
