Everyone knows about Black Friday. And Small Business Saturday has gained a huge following driving consumers to Shop Local. But how about as moms we support fellow moms? To make it easy to do just that, I’ve put together a list of great Gifts for Mom that you can purchase directly through some of my followers.
Disclosure: I have not received anything in exchange for promoting these brands and WAHMs other than their constant readership and support!
Gifts for Mom Sold by Moms
As many of you know, I am a HUGE supporter of all moms, but especially love to show my support for fellow WAHMs, being one myself. For many WAHMs, in addition to providing a mental outlet to what can at times be a thankless job staying home with the kids, the money they generate helps contribute to the grocery budget or allows them to provide things for their kids like dance lessons or tutoring sessions. So as you finalize your holiday shopping this year, here are a few of my favorite direct sales businesses, sold by my followers, that not only offer great gifts for mom, but also support fellow moms, their families and in some cases, awesome bigger causes as well.
Noonday Collection by Christina
I just LOVE everything about Noonday Collection – from their product offering to their broader mission. Christina is a Noonday Ambassador based in Texas, who has been one of my followers from the very beginning. We also went to high school together.
What is Noonday Collection?
Noonday Collection is a marketplace for jewelry and accessories designed and created by artisans living in vulnerable communities throughout the world. Noonday began when Jessica Honegger, founder and CEO of Noonday Collection, was adopting her son Jack from Rwanda. Jessica met talented jewelry designers in Uganda and sold their jewelry pieces at a trunk show back home in Texas to raise money for the adoption. This sparked a desire and purpose to bring a marketplace to the talented artisans all over the world using fair trade principals.
Noonday utilizes Ambassadors (me!) to sell these pieces in the US in a trunk show format. This best conveys the stories behind the products, the most important currency to be exchanged during a show. Noonday provides a dignified wage for artisans in areas plagued with human trafficking, HIV, prostitution, and other life diminishing problems. The partnership with Noonday allows mothers who were on the verge of relinquishing their children to orphanages to not only feed, clothe, house, and educate themselves, but their families as well.
Why do you love Noonday?
I became an ambassador due to Noonday’s adoption connection, as I was adopted as a baby. Noonday incorporates adoption into their business model through adoption trunk shows that are held in honor of adopting families where 10% of the proceeds of those shows goes towards the often high adoption costs. This allows me to become more involved in the adoption community, while also opening up a dialogue surrounding adoption that is often so needlessly avoided or hushed.
And it allows me to contribute financially to my family while actually enjoying my work! Trunk shows are generally 2-3 hours and involve women, and sometimes men, socializing, listening to stories of Noonday artisans, and playing dress up. It is the perfect escape from mommyhood and full time toddler shenanigans.

Jamberry Nails by Nina
Some of you may remember Nina from the Jamberry Party I hosted earlier this year. Nina has also been a huge supporter of mine from the very beginning… we originally met through one of my college roommates, and became fast friends over large steins in the beer tents during Munich’s 200th annual Oktoberfest. Probst!
What is Jamberry?
Launched in 2010, Jamberry Nails are proprietary nail wraps. With DIY, at-home application, 100s of designs to choose from and creating a manicure that lasts up to 2 weeks, they are ideal for moms, like me, who don’t so much make their weekly trip to the nail salon anymore. A sheet of wraps runs about $15 (there are discounts for buying multiple sheets, monthly memberships, and more), and will create 2+ manicures. They also sell Junior Jams, which are pint-sized for kiddy fingers!

Rodan + Fields by Blythe
Blythe has also been one of my supporters from day 1… we ‘met’ online in a Facebook group while we were pregnant with our now 2 year olds. Since I have ‘known’ her, she has moved from Texas to Mississippi to Arizona as her husband finishes his residency, and now establishes his own Pediatric Dental Practice. The constant change in climates wreaked havoc on her skin, and led her to become a Rodan + Fields consultant.
Why do you sell R+F?
I am a former teacher and now a stay at home mom to two little girls. It is rare that I do anything for myself these days, but when I turned 30 this past summer, I decided that it was time to start taking care of myself more. Living in the desert, I knew that I needed to start a daily skincare regimen that consisted of more than my go to makeup remover wipes.
A friend of mine introduced me to Rodan+Fields. I tried a few products and could almost instantly tell a difference in my skin. I was so excited about the products and the mission of the company that I decided to become a consultant. I am excited to finally have the best skin of my life, and to be able to help others achieve theirs as well!
