Mom’s Book Nook – A Virtual Book Club
Our little online book haven is growing! And to help us, Laura (my co-host at Sunny Day Family) and I want to introduce you to our newest co-host, Erika from Pray Species. Erika joined us as a reader from nearly the very beginning, and as a fellow avid reader and book lover, we are thrilled to welcome her to the team!
Everyday we hear from another fellow mom who is so excited to have found us – a way to still be part of a book club, read and share great books, from the comfort of your home, after the kids go to bed! Joining is simple – read the monthly selection, announced on the 1st Monday of every month, and come meet us in our Mom’s Book Nook group on Facebook to discuss. We normally meet the last Monday of the month – but since that’s a holiday, we will be discussion this month’s selection, Summer Secrets, on Tuesday, May 31st at 9PM ET.
May 2016 Selection

About the Book
The best summer reads are always set in Nantucket! Twenty-something journalist Cat Coombs falls apart after a dark family secret is revealed. Partying by night in London and raging hangovers the next day become her norm, leading to a terrible mistake one night while visiting family in America, on the island of Nantucket. It’s a mistake for which she can’t forgive herself. When she returns home, she confronts the unavoidable reality of her life and knows it’s time to grow up. But she doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to earn the forgiveness of the people she hurt.
A beautiful story of relationships, betrayals, and forgiveness; about accepting the things we cannot change, finding the courage to change the things we can, and being strong enough to weather the storms.
