An Online Book Club for Moms
Anyone is welcome to join in our reading fun. But as busy moms with little ‘me-time’, we created Mom’s Book Nook as a book club as an outlet for parents who still love to read, but otherwise would never be able to still participate in a book club. Participation is simple. Read the monthly book selection announced on the 1st Monday of every month, and join us to discuss it in our online book club discussion via Facebook event on the last Monday of the month (2/29) at 9PM.
Put on your pjs, grab a glass of wine and your laptop or iPhone, and join in the fun!

February 2016 Book Selection
This book has recently made a bunch of ‘great book club books’, ‘best books to read’ lists, which peaked our interest. Also, as many have requested, it’s not a brand new book – published in 2013 – so for those who get their selections from the library, it should make it easier to get! This month’s selection is Where’d You Go, Bernadette 
About the Book
Bernadette is an eccentric, reclusive, prep school mother, living in Seattle. When her daughter graduates with honors from her private school, she must make good on her daughter’s wish to travel to Antarctica. Then, Bernadette disappears. Learn about Bernadette, her family and how they find her through her emails and correspondence with her VA in India that her daughter pieces together to discover who her mother really is. A quirky and humorous read for mother’s everywhere.
About the Author
Maria Semple’s first novel, This One is Mine, was set in Los Angeles, where she also wrote for television shows including Arrested Development, Mad About You, and Ellen. She escaped from Los Angeles and lives with her family in Seattle, where her second novel takes place.

Mom’s Book Nook is a virtual, completely online book club. To participate, simply read this month’s book selection, then join us to discuss via our Facebook event on February 29th – Leap Day – at 9PM ET. We will talk about the book, and at the end, solicit recommendations for next month’s book selection.
