Last week, I discovered an awesome new-to-me social media platform: Yummly! While it has been around since 2010, Yummly is growing rapidly and quickly picking up steam. If you like using Pinterest for recipes, you will LOVE Yummly. It is a searchable recipe database where you can set up your own recipe box, set your personal food preferences, dietary restrictions and search by a magnitude of options. Oh, yeah – and you can find all our recipes on it!
The Foodie Recipe Database – Yummly!
Visit yummly.com or download the app to your favorite mobile device, and sign up to set up your profile. After that, you can search the database by a number of different means and filters, and Yum! your favorites to save them to your recipe box. Yummly! will also make recipe recommendations to you based on your profile and recipe box. From there, you can organize them into collections (by meal, protein, holiday or any category of your choosing) and select recipes to add to your shopping list!
You can also save recipes to your recipe box from any website, anywhere you see an orange, Yum button!
