Description
Inspired by Ada’s Ideas, the picture book biography of Ada Lovelace, the world’s first computer programmer, our printable ABC punch cards will support your preschooler’s alphabet recognition and letter formation skills.
Alphabet Recognition
Download and print your set of ABC Punch Cards. The cards come 9 to a page, featuring all 26 capital letters of the alphabet over 3 pages. Print them on cardstock for extra durability. Cut down to individual cards to use as an alphabet recognition resource with your preschooler!
Fine Motor Skill Challenge
Once cut into individual letter cards, encourage your child to use a hole punch to punch out the dots on each letter. Hole punches are awesome for improving your child’s hand strength, while also helping them practice holding and turning the paper just as they would while using scissors.
Letter Formation
Use the punched letter cards as templates to work on letter formation. Place a letter card on a piece of paper, and make a dot where each hole was punched. Remove the letter card, and connect the dots to encourage your child’s letter formation skills.
