Tour the World: Flower Crafts from Around the World

Growing up in Texas, there’s a lot of state pride ingrained in you from an early age.  Come every March and April, there are fields upon fields of blue bonnets as far as the eye can see – so many, and all left to flourish, untouched!  The blue bonnet is the state flower of Texas, and yes, it is actually against the law to pick them.  Living and raising my children now in Connecticut, this Spring’s vibrancy made me wonder what the state flower was here… a little digging and I soon realized every state in the US has an official flower, as does every Canadian province, every country around the world and many counties and territories globally.  I reached out to my fellow kids’ activity bloggers, and together, we have created a geography, culture, craft and history lesson in one.  Join us as we Tour the World by Flower, with flower crafts for kids from bloggers around the world.

Flower Crafts from Around the World

At first, I thought I would have bloggers from around the US do a flower craft from their state, but there was tremendous interest from bloggers globally too.  We have flower crafts to share from 16 US states and 9 counties or countries from around the world.  Stay tuned as we add all the posts this week!
