Conversation hearts are synonymous with Valentine’s Day. Like candy canes at Christmas, you can find them everywhere – in individually packaged boxes or giant bags. The famous pithy phrases continue to evolve with the times (TXT ME and #LOVE were in our bag this year), but the chalky flavor never changes. And since they are in ample supply, what better marker for Valentine Bingo than the famous heart candies. Grab your Valentine Bingo Cards – available in both color or phrase versions – at the end of this post!
Conversation Heart Valentine Bingo
If you have enjoyed our conversation heart activities in the past, this year we have the ultimate Valentine’s Day party game for your kids’ parties – Valentine Bingo.
Valentine Bingo Game Printable by Color
Because I currently have a 3 year old preschooler and a 5 year old early reader, I made two versions of printable Bingo cards. One set just has colored conversation hearts. Draw hearts at random and let kids match the colors as drawn, using more hearts as card markers. Or print the cards and give them as a Valentine along with an individually-sized box of Sweethearts for a simple color matching game. The colored heart game set includes 20 unique printable Bingo cards, 2 cards per page. Just cut down the middle to separate.
Valentine Bingo Cards with Conversation Heart Phrases
For older kids, like my 5 year old early reader, I made a second version of the Valentine Bingo game with the fun, conversation heart phrases. This is a more challenging version. Draw conversation hearts at random, and have players mark matching phrases on their card – you can make it even tougher by having to match phrase AND color.
Similarly, you can print the cards and give them as a Valentine along with a box of Sweethearts – recipients can see how much of their card they can cover with their box.
