Clean Kids Chemical Free

I participated in an Ambassador Activation on behalf of Influence Central for WaterWipes. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

When my youngest was first born, I quickly discovered before we even brought her home from the hospital that she had super sensitive skin.  Anything with fragrance of any kind or not specifically formulated for sensitive skin instantly broke her out in a rash.  We switched to sensitive wipes, diapers, and already used hypoallergenic detergents, free of color and fragrance.  However, I recently was introduced to WaterWipes, a chemical free baby wipe.  I checked the ingredient list on my ‘hypoallergenic, fragrance free, sensitive skin’ wipes: after water and citric acid, there was a list of 15+ more ingredients, most of which I could barely pronounce let alone recognize.  We use wipes for far more than diaper changes, most often to clean hands and faces on the go, before and after meals.  I wanted clean kids, but I didn’t want my girls ingesting chemicals!  We made the switch to WaterWipes, and now I have clean kids, chemical free.

Even with my oldest out of diapers and my youngest not far behind, we still go through a ton of wipes.  I frankly don’t know how I lived without them before kids.  I hand them out on the go before and after meals to clean little (and even not so little in the case of my husband!) hands and faces.  I even use them to remove my own make-up at the end of the day.  They also work brilliantly to remove paint, markers and who knows what else the girls get their hands into every day.

I recently became a WaterWipes Ambassador, and as such, will be featuring them here over the coming months.  Before discovering WaterWipes, I honestly never paid much attention to exactly what was in my diaper wipes.  They were ‘sensitive, hypoallergenic and fragrance-free,’ and they didn’t make my daughter breakout – that made them safe, right?  It wasn’t until I actually checked the ingredient list that I was shocked by what all was actually in them!  A long, chemical-ridden list of ingredients.  WaterWipes contain only two ingredients: 99.9% purified Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract.  And they are still as effective and soft as the ones we used to use.

We have swapped out our old wipes for WaterWipes – at the changing table, and on-the-go!  They are also stocked in Baby M3’s room waiting for his arrival next month!  We all want to keep our kids clean.  And now you can without all the chemicals.

Thank you so much for sharing – these types of finds are gems! (And I kind of love that they are mostly purified IRISH water 😉 )

We love them – have been using them for everything, from diaper changes to post-meal face and hands clean-up… even craft clean-up. They don’t leave any residue on surfaces like other wipes, and love when I use them on my kids’ face, I’m not worried about chemicals!

I’m buying a ton for my newly arriving niece. As new parents, we often forget to check the ingredients on some of the stuff we use every day. My kids love how WaterWipes are soft, don’t have an overpowering smell, and work great!

Before WaterWipes, we used sensitive fragrance free wipes already, so I forgot how powerful the scent of some can be. That’s another great point! What a great aunt!
