For weeks now, ever since I made the Star Gazing Discovery Bottles for my monthly post on Pre-K Pages, the girls have been full of questions and fascinated by stars.  Now that preschool is out for the summer, studying stars was at the top of their request list.  To kick things off, here are 12 books about stars for kids, space, the night sky and constellations!

Thank you for these recommendations. We’re taking our 5 year old to an observatory next week as an intro to star gazing. These are a great way to help talk about the night sky. My only wish is that we lived in an area where he could see how really breath taking a night sky can be.

Oh, how fun! We have one a few towns over – that’s a great idea for a little day trip at the end of our study. So glad you enjoyed this list. We found a few more today at the library too I’ll be sharing soon!
